The Motobatt MBTX9UHD comes with one year guarantee or two if you register it.
Use this form to register your battery within 21 days for extending your 12 month warranty to two years and should you ever need to make a claim please use the same form.
Charging the Motobatt MBTX9UHD
We highly recommend charging your AGM battery every 6 weeks when your machine is rarely used or to help keep your battery in good health, with one of our battery chargers that come with a built in maintainer.
The worst thing you can do to a battery is to start your machine every now & then trying to keep it topped up! This is where there is a good chance your battery is always partially discharged and that will have a negative impact all round!
If you must use a trickle charger, do not leave your AGM battery on charge all the time, let the battery slightly discharge, never less than 12.2v otherwise it will ruin the battery and shorten its life. You can use one of our trickle chargers designed specifically for AGM batteries but even then, take it off trickle now and then & follow the advice provided below.
Your battery comes to you pre-conditioned ready to install out of the box. You don’t have to add acid, however due to storage variations in the supply chain you should always put the battery on an AGM type charger prior to fitting.Draining a battery from parasitic loads is the number one cause of battery failure and once taken under 8V it’s very difficult for the battery to recover.Many bike owners just don’t realise about the onslaught a modern battery now faces in the realm of sophisticated electronics.We recommend one of our chargers as they are all suited for AGM batteries, this will ensure your battery is kept in the fully charged state it was designed for.Please read more here Battery Care and FAQs, which applies to all batteries supplied by Motorcycle Products.Your AGM battery requires looking after despite being classed as maintenance free, make sure you read as you may be surprised and it will lengthen the life of your battery.
