The Tread
The “giraffe-like” non-directional tread blocks, give great traction without catching groves in the street. Delivering a stable, surefooted ride.

The Heidenau K76 is for adventure or dual sport. This tyre is intended primarily for road use, but has relatively wide grooves between the tread blocks so it can be usable in milder dirt conditions such as gravel roads or perhaps some two track where the soil is relatively firm. The K76 tyre will channel water well on the road in a heavy rainstorm. As an adventure or dual sport tyre lets call its orientation 90% road and 10% dirt. The tread pattern for this tyre is similar to the Metzler Tourance. The tread compound is perhaps a bit softer and the tyre a little stickier than the Tourance.
