With a 20-30 nanometre thick transparent layer of titanium dioxide on the outer surface of the lens, this anti-friction coating ensures that water molecules stick together and fall off more easily. Hydrophobic coatings are common in prescription eyewear and also have anti-static properties, making it easier for dust and other particles to slide off and easier to clean.
